Cover of Prosperity
Twenty-Third Psalm(Revised)
The Lord is my banker; my credit is good.
He maketh me to lie down in the consciousness of omnipresent abundance;
He giveth me the key to His strongbox.
He restoreth my faith in His riches;
He guideth me in the paths of prosperity for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk in the very shadow of debt,
I shall fear no evil, for Thou art with me;
Thy silver and Thy gold, they secure me.
Thou preparest a way for me in the presence of the collector;
Thou fillest my wallet with plenty; my measure runneth over.
Surely goodness and plenty will follow me all the days of my life,
And I shall do business in the name of the Lord forever.

Need I say more? This gets directly to the heart of the matter. Get clear about what is at the center. Make it about God first. When we do what we do because of the Divine impulse, all that we need and want is provided. But the key is to make God our partner in all things. Wanting money for the sake of money will not work. Think instead about your divine purpose, your spiritual gifts and the work that God would have you do.
When I get those things straight, I am consistently amazed at how people, resources and opportunities just show up in my life. And the funny thing is, in retrospect, I find that many of the things I had and needed, weren’t even things I knew I needed. And to top it all off, I also find that uncultivated gifts emerge when I am operating in this mode. I discover that I know things that I didn’t know I knew. ;)
This prayer may not take the place of the original, but I can guarantee you that it can and will make a difference. If you are experiencing anxiety about your financial situation, try using this prayer (or something similar) morning and evening on a regular basis. Typically when we pray for financial things we have very specific things in mind. Instead use this prayer, which is a prayer for general prosperity, keeping an open mind and heart for the Divine idea for prosperity in your life.
Say it with me!
And so it is! Amen!
